While TechCollective tries to provide the best tech service to our customers, there is no way we can make everything work. There is no single entity that controls all aspects of the technology that you use. That "simple" computer that you have is the collaboration of many people from many different companies. We at TechCollective will find the best of such combinations for your needs. While fixing your computer, on rare occasions, things will break. Some hardware manufacturers deliberately make their products tamper-proof. This is to prevent technicians like ourselves from disassembling their machines for repair. In other words, we have to break something to fix something. We will tell our customers ahead of time when such situation arises and will only proceed if they are aware of the potential damage to their hardware during the repair. As for the data on your machines, while we try not to corrupt it while repairing your computer, we are not responsible for any loss of data. It is up to the users to have a backup of their data on separate storage media before we work on their machines. However, we are happy to back it up for you before doing the work, but that only adds more hours to the repair job and cost to you. It's best that you backup the data beforehand. Besides, you should be doing regular backups of your data anyway. |
